Stripy Party Hats

The first one in our unique printable party hats is this funky multicolor stripy hat. Colorful stripes are always great fashion statement to compliment any party outfits! We went quite extreme with this and used so many colors in each hat – the result looks great and we hope you enjoy it.

YOU WILL NEED

Papers
Scissors
Glue
Strings or elastic bands

HOW TO MAKE THE PARTY HAT

1. Cut and glue the tab as indicated.
2. Roll the paper tighter than you need to make the paper easier to shape.
3. Glue the edge. You may use tape.
4. Hook strings or elastics on to the side tabs, fold and glue inside to secure.
We recommend you to print them on heavy weight papers for durability.

HOW TO MAKE THE BON BON

1. Cut the strips and curl them like in the photo.
2. Glue the bottom edge and roll it. Put more glue on the outside.
3. Insert in the hole on the top and fix it using the glue or tape.
4. Shape the curls as you like. Done!

I made this pink monkey birthday hat for Elise to wear on her 1st birthday. She was a good sport about it and I think she looked adorable especially when she dug into her matching monkey birthday cake.

How to Make Birthday Party Hats

Cut it out along the outside markings and along the two notches on the side.

Carefully cut the two slits in the notched tab using your Xacto knife.

…and also carefully cut the slit.

Curl the hat onto itself, tucking the notched tab into the slits. When you slide it up, it will look like this:

Cut two pieces of white ribbon about 12-16 inches long each.

Tape one ribbon to the inside of the hat on the right side. Repeat on the left side.

Place the birthday hat on your monkey and tie.
